A game that was released upon the Playstation first then the PC and then on the Gamecube, Graphically it is great in some areas but what lets it down is the texture blockyness and even worse a unstable framerate most problematic when shooting in First Person mode or when there is too many people on the screen/too much going on. Gameplay wise, it has been boosted up to MGS2 Sons of liberty gameplay with first person, shooting, rail hanging Sound wise it all sounds great and atmosphereic. What sort of makes or breaks this game is the cut-scenes, They, action wise are very unrealisic and have a strong feeling of "matrix" and "bullet time" styles but are great to watch though. Story wise if you have played the orignal don't bother reading this bit but what the story is basically is that Solid Snake, an elite soldier who excels in infiltration missions, is sent in to an Alaskan nuclear disposal facility to stop a terrorist group from launching a nuclear warhead or so he thought. What is not good is why the game has been put on to 2 discs, assuming there was the lack of space on 1disc. There is a indepth briefing videos you can watch to what you mission is about. There is no V.R training missions. There is a boss challenge of going through the game's bosses in as quick time as possible limited to what you have avaliable and a photo album for placing any pictures you take after you get the camera. Overall if you have played and liked the orignal, may as well give this a try but if this is the first time you have come across "MGS", try and find it cheap or borrow or rent it.
