whether you like Sonic or not he has had his success on different consoles/handhelds over his carrer. This is the first title to be on all three main consoles. Differences between the versions are only that the PS2 version runs at 30fps in single player but the GC and Xbox version runs at 60fps (big difference, huh). Loading times variey from the versions but i say the GC version is the best because of the better control layout. Anyway this game has you play as one of 4teams consiting of 3 characters per team (Team Sonic,Dark,Rose,Chaotix). The differances between the teams is Team Sonic is just normal get to end of stage format, Dark is like Team Sonic stages but harder-ish. (is that a word???) Team Rose is a cut down and easier versions of Team Sonic stages and Chaotix is a mission based style of stages but still does involve going through the stage. You can control all three at the same time, whoever is the leader you control them and the other 2 follow. There are 3 types of characters for all 4 teams, Speed,Fly,Power, all having different styles of attack. This game consits of 14 stages with boss stages every two stages done and a special stage zone where you go through a long tube getting to the end of it with time to spare for the even numbered stages and for the odd numbered stages, going after the chaos emerald. To get to them you find the key and just have it completing whatever stage. Theres a 2player which has 7 types of modes some better than others. I won't say what they are but there are 3 different stages per type and one thing is that the 2 player runs at 30fps for GC and XBOX (PS2?,not really sure). Is this worth your money?, like Sonic buy it, like action fast paced games go for it, like a game not playing the same thing over too many times, depends but i like this and is a good fun game.It wont last too long as you'll be replaying the stages over and over again and the puzzles are easy to solve but still its fun for the time being.
