Fifa, the games have been done for over 10 years, the name for over a 100 years, So what did the 2004 version offer and how bad.....(too harsh?....) was it. Graphically it recreates the stadiums in good detail with the player modals looking roughly like the players themselves, though the crowd looks terrible, like cardboard cut outs which are very blocky up close. The sound (commentary) is fluid and focuses on the action on the pitch with some players names being said. The menu music is by actual artists which is good. The gameplay its self is stifff with the ball control not as good or realistic as the pro evolution games. Passing the ball feels still and goes almost straight towards your team mate. taking free kicks is hard to line up,to control the amount of force behind the ball and the turing of the ball. Fifa is behind Pro evolution in game play terms but has the licensed teams and sponserships on the shirts.
scores:3 out of 5
